Minor Surgery Courses

What makes our courses different?

We are not your average minor surgery course - your education and experience is at the forefront of our mind, hence:

  • We will give you instruments, sutures and a skin model to take home and practice with to solidify your learning
  • The course will be more practice-focused rather than theory-heavy. The best way to learn how to perform surgery is by practising it, not listening to lectures!
  • You will be taught by a dynamic and vastly experienced GP, who is a Professor in Primary Care and is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons
  • We have the cheapest 1-day and 2-day courses on the market, at only £295 and £425 respectively
  • We only use the best venues to give you a comfortable experience

Covid19 compliant

Our course organisers are GPs and an Occupational Physician, who have the safety of all participants at the forefront of their mind. All courses are thoroughly risk-assessed and all relevant Government guidance on social distancing measures is taken into account when planning the safe delivery of our courses.

If there is a national or local lockdown in place during the course, preventing it from going ahead, you will be offered a full refund or a free deferment to the next course. If you develop Covid19 symptoms prior to attending the course and need to self-isolate, you will be offered a free deferment to the next course

Multiple courses at multiple locations

We are delighted to announce that our Minor Surgery Course for GPs will be taking place all over the UK. We have courses running in Leicester, Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol and London. Please see below for more details on available venues and dates.

Taught by accredited GP

This course is led by Professor Fahad Rizvi, a GP and academic who was a surgeon for 6 years prior to moving into general practice, though he still remains a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons. He is a highly experienced teacher of minor surgery and carries out advanced minor surgery at various practices throughout Leicestershire, including vasectomies, carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, dupuytren's contracture correction and a vast array of other advanced surgical procedures. This allows for the course to be particularly targeted to those working in Primary Care but also has scope to teach techniques beyond an average minor surgery course.

For ALL skill levels

The course is tailor-made to help novices build their skills and confidence, whilst allowing intermediates to fine-tune and enhance their surgical skills. Our update and upskilling courses are perfect for more experienced practitioners. With a tailor-made approach for each individual, we will ensure that you are not being left behind, nor being left to twiddle your thumbs! We are proud that our course has a primary focus on practical experience as opposed to being theory-heavy like other courses

Competitively priced

We are the cheapest minor surgery course on the market. Our 1-day update courses are only £295 and our 2-day courses are only £425. This will cover the curriculum handbook, equipment necessary to run the course, venue hire and ensure free refreshments and lunch on both days.
